Here are all the equations you will need for GCSE:

  • pressure = force/area
  • density = mass/volume
  • kinetic energy = 1/2 * mass * velocity2
  • refractive index = sin i/ sin r = speed of light in a vacuum/ speed of light in material
  • Charge = Current * Tim
  • Weight = Mass/g
  • Gravitational Potential Energy = mass * height * g
  • Power= Energy/ Time
  • Power = Voltage * current
  • Work Done = Force * Distance
  • Acceleration = Change in velocity/Time
  • Total resistance = R1 + R2+R3....(series circuit) = R1R2/(R1+R2) [parallel circuit]
  • Pressure*Volume/Temperature = constant
  • Moment = Force * Distance
  • Sin critical angle = 1/refractive index
  • Force = k * extension
  • Velocity = Frequency * Wavelength
  • Pressure due to liquid = height * g * density
  • Voltage = Energy/Charge
  • Force = Mass * Acceleration
  • Voltage = Current * Resistance
  • Vp/Vs = Np/Ns
  • Vs * Ls</sub = Vp * Lp
  • Energy = mass * specific heat capacity * change in temperature
  • Energy = mass * latent heat of fusion(or vaporization)
